The intermediate boys cricket team are through to regionals after defeating Fountain Gate and Glen Eagles in the Casey North division gala day.
Winning the toss and bowling first, the bowlers did a terrific job restricting Fountain Gate to just 17 off their 10 overs. Nayeel S was bowling thunderbolts and finished with 1-4 off 2 overs, and had great support from Arish S 2 overs, 0-0), Ram R (1 for 0 off 1) and Yevin K (1 for 2 off 1). Year 9 students Yevin and Yashik K made short work of the total in 2 overs.
The 2nd match was much more competitive against Glen Eagles. Shaurya S (33 ret) and Jishan L (20) helped us to a total of 79 in 10 overs. Glen Eagles were on track at 1-35 off 5 before Shaurya picked up a crucial wicket and Mohammed A caught fire, ripping through the middle order with 3-6 off 2 overs to restrict Glen Eagles to 54 from 10 overs.
