Variation to School Day

Tuesday the 10th of August is our variation to school day. This is our Student Support Group (SSG) meeting for Term 3. The purpose of these appointments is to celebrate progress from Semester 1 reports and to share and discuss goals for Individual Education Plans (IEP's). You will have access to your child’s IEP via Compass on Thursday the 5th of August.

These SSG meetings differ from others as they are running 30 minutes in duration. This extension of time allows parents/carers to invite any external services to enter the discussions. To allow the increased time, the day is called a Variation to School Day, which allows teachers to have appointments from 10am – 6pm where students don’t attend school but they are encouraged to participate (where appropriate) in their SSG with their teacher.

Unfortunately, in accordance with the Departments Guidelines for Covid-19 under the current restrictions we cannot offer face-to-face appointments. All appointments will be conducted via Webex. If you need support with technology, please contact your classroom teacher for instructions or arrange a telephone appointment. 

Bookings for these appointments close this Friday 6th August at 4pm, please book via Compass or call the office for support. 

How to book your Student Teacher Conference for Student Support Group (SSG) meetings 

1st: Select ‘Book Parent Student Teacher Conference’ in your profile or at the top of your newsfeed ‘Parent Student Teacher Conference’ in green.

2nd: Select My Bookings

The top option is for your classroom teacher, 30-minutes in duration and the second option is for your specialist teachers, 15-minutes in duration. Please refer to your teacher list for a list of your child’s specialist teachers.

4th. Click on an available time

On Thursday the 5th of August you will receive your child’s Individual Education Plan for Semester 2. To access this plan,  please go to: Profile > Reports Tab > 2021 – Individual Education Plan – Semester 2. This Individual Education Plan will be discussed with your child’s teacher at the Student Support Group meetings on the Variation to School Day on Tuesday the10th of August.
