Please note new temporary dates for Canteen in Term 3
Canteen will be closed on Wednesdays ( but will be open on a Tuesday instead )
This will be shown on QKR
Hot dogs will be available on Mondays and Tuesdays
These dates will be changed in QKR to avoid any confusion.
Winter Menu options
Have you noticed the new Winter food options? You may have also noticed that certain foods are not available later in the week. If you have a favourite, the best thing to do is to order them earlier in the week, when we have plenty of supplies, so you don't miss out!

Chocolate Chip Cookies
250gm Softened Butter
370gm Brown Sugar
2 teaspoons Vanilla
2 Large Eggs
2 tablespoons Milk
450gm Plain Flour
2 teaspoons Baking Powder
500gm Chocolate Chips
Preheat oven to 170 c.
Grease or line baking trays with baking paper.
Place butter and sugar into a large bowl, with an electric mixer, cream for approximately 3-4 minutes until paler and fluffy.
Alternatively with a wooden spoon, beat for 5-6 minutes.
Add in the vanilla & eggs and continue to mix (don’t worry if it looks curdled)
Add the milk & then add the flour in two batches.
Mix till combined, fold through the chocolate.
Place in the fridge for 30 mins to rest.
Remove from fridge & roll into balls of desired size.
A small ice cream scoop is perfect for consistent sizing.
Place rolled cookies onto your trays, make sure to leave enough room to spread.
Bake for 12- 15 minutes or until golden.
Cookies will harden slightly upon cooling.
Best eaten warm.
Store in an airtight container.
* cookie dough can be frozen
Variations
Triple Chocolate – milk, dark and white chocolate
Chocolate Chunk Cookies – use chopped melts or block of cooking chocolate
Smores – Add in 1 cup mini marshmallows to your raw cookie dough
Pretzel – Add in 1 cup of crushed pretzels to your raw cookie dough
Oatmeal & Raisin – Add in ½ cup of raisins or sultanas with ½ cup of oats to your raw cookie dough
