Art

This week in Art the students continued their investigation into Keith Haring. Keith Haring’s work began as simple white on black figures, but over time his style developed into complex compositions full of dancing, pulsating figures.

He created his own visual language using symbols and lines, the study of these lines is called Semiotics. These repeated patterns and symbols became so dominant that the figures and symbols would sometimes be hidden.

The students were asked to include hidden messages in their artwork that were meaningful to them, some of these included ‘Hidden Strength’, ‘Love Yourself’, ‘So Much Fun’, ‘Be Happy, You Can Do It’, ‘Love is All You Need’, ‘Climb Every Mountain’ and ‘Stop Bullying’.

Here are a few of the interesting and creative artworks created this week.
