Pevan and Sarah Visit Foundation

This week, Foundation students were lucky enough to have Sarah from “Pevan and Sarah” join our morning meeting!

Pevan & Sarah are ABC KIDS artists from Melbourne, Australia. The Pevan & Sarah team are qualified and experienced teachers who are passionate about creating fun, engaging and educational music, videos and resources for kids, teachers and parents.

Foundation students enjoy learning, dancing and moving with Pevan and Sarah most days at school and at home!

Each class had the opportunity to ask Sarah a few questions!

We wanted to know things like,

“Have you ever been in a band?”,

“How do you learn your dances?”,

“What’s your favourite song that you have written?” and “How old is Pevan?”.

Sarah was full of energy and happy to answer our questions!

She also congratulated all the Foundation students on their amazing efforts during remote learning!

Year 6 Lockdown Chef

Over this past week we have been doing a very interactive project called... “Lockdown chef.” (it came with a beautiful video – great editing – let’s not get into that though!)

We have been researching meals, drawing up plans, and annoying our parents with shopping lists and actually using the kitchen without help.

Somehow, we survived – some of us with burns, some of us with way to many leftovers. But, either way, we enjoyed it.

What did we actually do?

We did things like doing research, working out how much of what we need, and... finding the dimensions of our home restaurant. It was a very good week, and not only because we got to boss around our parents but it was a perfect break from the usual routine.

Gardening

On Tuesday, the students onsite got outside and enjoyed gardening; planting some yummy carrots and celery in our garden beds. We can’t wait to harvest and taste them… in about 8 weeks.
