Stage 1 Business Innovation – Excursion to Adelaide Hills Businesses
As part of their Stage 1 Business Innovation course, students recently visited various iconic Adelaide Hills businesses. The day started with a tour of Melba’s Chocolate Factory where students completed various data collection tasks and engaged with employees. This was followed by a talk at Beerenberg Strawberry Farm. A final stop at Hahndorf was an opportunity to survey shoppers and interview business owners.
This excursion enabled students to investigate how various South Australian businesses operate, innovate and adapt to a changing economy. Students have since chosen one of the visited business to focus on. After completing a Business Model Canvas, they are currently designing concepts which will innovate this business.
