5-A-SIDE SOCCER

On Thursday 12 August, we took three teams to the 5-a-side soccer carnival. So many of our students demonstrated the sportsmanship, honesty and respect that has become a staple on many of our sporting excursions in recent years. This extended to our three year 12 referees, Oliver Sigley, Bailey Tagni and Brodie Warncken, who were invaluable throughout the day.

Our girls team, were incredibly encouraging and supportive of each other on and off of the pitch. It was fantastic to see their efforts translate into winning their division without losing a match!

 Meanwhile, our year 9 and year 10 boys’ teams were also successful. Our year 9 boys’ conceded one of their seven matches earlier in the day, but came together as a team to finish the day off strongly and win their division!

 Our year 10 boys’ team showed patches of great skill and teamwork throughout the day, falling short in their last two games losing to the eventual 1st and 2nd placed teams.
