Careers Information Update
UAC Key Dates Timeline
UAC has released an updated timeline of dates regarding university applications and offers. Access UAC key dates timeline here
August 27 - Equity Scholarships application deadline
September 19 - SRS applications close
September 30 - UAC applications close. Course preferences may still be changed
November 12 - SRS offers released
November 28 - EAS applications close (for December Round 2 offers)
December 11 - EAS Eligibility letters released for December Round 2
TBC - NSW ATARs released on UAC website at 9am
TBC - Change course preferences by midnight
TBC - University Offers released on UAC website at 7.30am.
UAC Educational Access Scheme (EAS) - UAC Website
UAC has added parents in receipt of 2021 COVID - 19 Disaster Payment under the Financial Hardship Category- parent/s must be in receipt of payment for at least 3 months
Last year UAC included Job Keeper and Job Seeker as an area of disadvantage under the Financial Hardship category of the EAS. In order to qualify, parents need to have accessed Job Keeper or Job Seeker for a period of at least 3 months over their daughter’s time in Year 11 and 12. Please email me if you require clarification.
University Open Days
Most tertiary institutions have held their open days over the last few weeks.
This weekend UNSW and National Art School are holding their open days. Register on the links provided.
University Early Entries
Again I urge parents to discuss with their daughters the possibility of applying for as many early entries as feasible.

Early Entry applications close on the following dates:
UTS Early Entry Program - 12 September
ACU Guaranteed Entry - Offer Round 6 closes 16 September and Offer Round 7 closes 1 October
Macquarie University Leaders and Achievers - closes 16 September
Notre Dame - closes 10 October
Western Sydney University True Rewards Program - 12 September, 7 November
Remember, you may accept all the offers made by the universities and the final decision as to which university your daughter would like to attend does not need to be made until early 2022

Career Webinars and Events can be accessed here. If you are interested in any of these webinars you need to register as soon as possible as for some there are limited places available.

This list contains many of the scholarships available for university and other tertiary institutions. Each of the scholarships has a different closing date. Some close before the end of the school year while others require enrolment into specific courses before you may apply. Please follow the specific details of each one.
Traineeships - access google doc here
For Year 12 students who are interested in applying for a traineeship for 2022 I have prepared a google doc that includes some traineeships that are available to apply for now and to begin next year. The list also includes some short TAFE courses that students might like to complete early next year. Most of these courses are either free or subsidised by the government.
UAC Updates for Parents
Sign up to receive resources from UAC on a range of topics, from selecting HSC subjects in Year 10 and deciding whether to drop a course in Year 11, to ATARs, accepting an offer to a tertiary course and more.
