YEAR 12 FORMAL

Thank you, families, for supporting our year 12 social event. We had such a magnificent evening and all the students scrubbed up so well. We look forward to the other senior formals later in the year. Laura Zimmerling

Despite being in a chaotic time of SACs and exams most of our year 12’s managed to take time out of their busy schedules to attend the year 12 formal at The Southern Golf Club in Keysborough a few weeks ago. With everyone dressed in their best and many travelling to the venue in a limo, we enjoyed the many festivities of the evening, celebrating a great first semester to year 12.

There was lots of singing and dancing throughout the night and the excitement could be felt by everyone when a familiar song came on and everyone eagerly rushed to the dance floor, the dance floor was swamped as 'ABBA' blasted through the speakers and everyone including the teachers showed off their line dancing skills to the 'Nutbush City' Limits however the night came to a climax as everyone chanted along to the cult classic 'Mr Brightside'. The night was especially fun being able to see each other outside of school time along with some of our favourite teachers who joined in by getting dressed up and having a twirl on the dance floor themselves.

Along with all the singing and dancing, we also had a lovely sit-down dinner and many students received awards including Emma for ‘Student with the best hair’, Charlie for ‘Most likely to get ID’d at 30’ and George for ‘Most disruptive in high school’.

On top of it all a photo booth had been organised which also added to the fun of the night as we all posed for the camera with silly props and everyone had the chance to get a freeze-frame of fun photos from the evening to take home as a physical memory of the fantastic night.
