Music Update 

Interesting music fact:   Musically trained children's ability to control their responses is one of the most important factors contributing to their improved academic performance

YEAR 7 INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC

All students who learn to play an instrument at EMC are also part of one of our performing ensembles and are expected to attend all rehearsals and concerts.

Guitar students: are part of the Junior Guitar Ensemble which rehearses Monday lunchtimes on a fortnightly basis

Woodwind, brass and percussion students: are part of the Junior Band which rehearses on Wednesday from 3.15 to 4 pm beginning in term 2

Vocal students: are part of the Vocal Ensemble which rehearses at lunch time on Mondays

STATE SCHOOLS SPECTACULAR

This year two of our EMC students have been selected through audition to take part in the State Schools Spectacular later this year. Congratulations to Max Pollard who has a solo vocal position and to Gus Morrison who is playing trumpet in the orchestra. This is a wonderful achievement for these students.

YEAR 11 MUSIC CLASS
