Year 9
What is the subject about?
In Humanities, students examine the world they live in and ask questions about the past, present and future.
- In History, students learn about the causes and the effects of industrialisation and the making of modern Australia.
- Civics and Citizenship focuses on the political and legal systems of Australia and analyses how values of democracy and fair process are present within it.
- Students then explore the global distribution of natural systems in Geography and consider both environmental impact on humans as well as human impact on it.
- Finally, Students research Australia’s role in the global economy and predict changes in the future of the work force.
