Alumni Visit

Alumni Visit – Christopher Sandiford ‘97

Recently we were thrilled to welcome back Chris Sandiford from the Class of 1997 and a Principal Environmental Scientist at Senversa. Chris is no stranger to Ballarat High School, with both of his parents former teachers.

Our Science Academy students had the opportunity to learn about his work, research and experiences within the field.

Chris is a shining example of former students making a positive impact in the world and achieving great success, we thank him for his willingness to give back and inspire our future scientists!

Alumni Visit – Paul Wiltshire ‘88

Multi-award-winning record producer, songwriter, and Founder/CEO of global technology company Songtradr, Paul Wiltshire, is currently visiting Australia and very generously found some time in his busy schedule to inspire our current music students and our Leadership Camp participants.

Paul, an alumnus from 1988, addressed our future leaders with tips on managing diverse teams, showing vulnerability as a leader, using meditation to achieve balance, the value in self-talk, dealing with failure, having tricky conversations and the importance of connectedness.

Our music students were in awe of Paul's journey, from dropping out of school in Year 12, working at retailer Brashes in the 90s, his career as a  full-time musician, producing and writing songs for multiple #1 Aria albums, moving to LA and working with the Backstreet Boys, before starting his music technology platform Songtradr.

We thank Paul for his willingness to give back to his former school and for sharing his incredible journey.
