Open Morning - Education Week

This morning we opened our doors to share our classroom learning with our parents and carers. It was so wonderful to see our rooms full of mums and dads working alongside their children and having the opportunity to see the explicit learning that the children are engaging in everyday. Thank you to all who were able to attend, we do appreciate your time.

The leadership team was so very proud of our staff and students. Thank you to all of our brilliant teachers and teacher aides, who do such a great job caring for and educating our children, not just today, but everyday!

2024 Foundation News

Next week, on Wednesday 24th May, we are holding our 2024 Foundation Information Night. On this night, we will share our curriculum and wellbeing programs with potential Gilgai Plain’s families and be there to answer any questions they may have. If you know anyone who is planning to send their children to our school next year, please encourage them to come along.

Tours of our beautiful school are running throughout the term. Please ring the office on 8779 0000 to book a spot.

We are launching our brand new website on Monday next week. Keep an eye on Compass and Facebook for the link. It looks fantastic and we can’t wait to show off our school. 

Our School Language - Auslan (Australian Sign Language)

Our staff have been very busy preparing for the launch of our language studies in Auslan. 

Ms Emily Bowman has been attending an Auslan training course after hours, learning Auslan and learning how to teach Auslan. Next term she will be working with our teachers to begin an introduction to Auslan program, with their students in Semester 2. In 2024, we will begin the formal program with our students, including assessment and reporting in Auslan.
