Foundation to Grade 6 House X-Country 

Our Foundation to Grade 6 House X-Country is on tomorrow Thursday 4th May. This year, the event is being held in Brookville gardens. Below is a schedule of events. Parent are welcome to attend.

 

9am – 9/10yo Boys 2km (mainly grade 3/4)

9:30am – 9/10yo Girls 2km (mainly grade 3/4)

10am – 11yo Boys 3km (mainly grade 5)

10:30am – 11yo Girls 3km (mainly grade 5)

12:00 – Grade 2 Boys

12:15pm – Grade 2 Girls

12:30pm – Grade 1 Boys

12:45pm – Grade 1 Girls

1pm – Prep Boys

1:15pm Prep Girls

1:30pm – 12/13yo Boys 3km (grade 6)

2:30pm – 12/13yo Girls 3km (grade 6) 

Mother's Day & Significant Other Stall

Our Mother's Day and Significant Other stall is on next Thursday 11th May commencing at 9.15am. We have gifts with Mum's, Nanna's and all special people in mind from Melbourne made jewelers and handmade chocolates ....plus lots more! Kindly send your child to school with a small amount of coins or cash. Gifts range from $2 to $15.

Walk to School Day

Junior School Council invites all students and families to participate in National Walk to School Day.

When: Friday 19 May 

Time : 8.30am.  

Place/Starting point: Corner of Mathoura Rd and 428 Toorak Rd, Toorak. Joining us will be Police Officers from the Prahran Station.

Be a part of the fun and decorate your school bag (not permanently) and/or wear colourful socks to show your support. 

Bakers Delight Hawksburn will be providing some tasty treats for those students participating. 

Grade 3 and 5 Naplan Results

A hardcopy of Grade 3 and 5 Naplan results will be available for parents in term 3

Unwell Children

We have had a number of children in the last week who have presented to sickbay with gastro. Kindly keep your children at home if they mention to you in the morning that they have a sore stomach or headache. Thank you

The Toorak Primary Mother’s Day Lunch is only 2 weeks away!

 

We have been busy planning what promises to be a FABULOUS day, fitting for the wonderful Mothers of TPS.

 

Date: Friday the 12th of May, 12pm at the Terrace – The Royal Botanical Gardens South Yarra.

 

It is such a lovely opportunity to get to know your fellow TPS mothers, let your hair down and support our school.

Tuning into Kids

Star Health will be offering the Tuning in to Kids group program for parents of children aged 3-10 this term.

 

This evidence-based program can help parents:

  1. Strengthen their relationship with their child/children
  2. Understand their own emotions and support their child/children to understand and manage their emotions
  3. Support their child/children when they are feeling big emotions
  4. Manage conflict, stress or arguments

The Tuning into Kids program will run for 6 consecutive weeks from Tuesday 16th May to Tuesday 20th June

 

Sessions will be held at Star Health in South Melbourne (341 Coventry St, South Melbourne – opposite the market) from 10:00am – 12:00pm
