Hello, from Carolyn.

Hello everyone,

Family BBQ.

A note went home this week about our Family BBQ, which is on Thursday 18th May. If you are coming along, please fill out and return the note to school so we know how many people to cater for.

Fear-Less parent seminar.

On Monday 15th May, 3:15pm-5:15pm we are hosting a free parent workshop. Over the twelve months I have been here, we have had increasing numbers of families asking for support in this area so please make the most of this opportunity. If there are other areas you would like support in, please let me know and I will see if we can organise some workshops on other topics at different times of the day/evening. We will always try our best to support you and your family.

For more information see the 'In our Community' page in our newsletter.

Term 2 Goal setting meetings.

Bookings are now open for these meetings via the Sentral app.

Parking at pick up time.

When you are parking near our school make sure you are following the road rules and parking in marked parking bays. Unfortunately we have some people parking on the corner curve which creates an unsafe situation for everyone walking and driving near those vehicles. Do the right thing and help our school community to be safe.

Attitude to School Survey.

Every year, our grade 4 to 6 students complete an online survey offered by the Department. The Attitude to School Survey provides us with information about how our senior students are feeling about school. If your child is in grade 4, 5 or 6, they will have brought home a note this week explaining more about the survey, please make sure you read it. You are most welcome to contact me if you have any questions.

Education Week 15-19 May.

Monday 15th, 9am School tours for prospective Foundation families.

Thursday 18th, 2:10pm Special Person afternoon. Our students will be inviting someone special to come and visit them in their classroom.

Thursday 18th, 3:10pm-5:30pm Family BBQ organised by our Parents & Friends group.

Head Lice.

We have had notification that those annoying little critters are back! Please make sure, if your child's hair is long enough to be tied back, then it is tied back every school day. Check your child's hair regularly and treat immediately if you find live lice or eggs.

No lunch orders on Wednesdays.

A reminder that there are no regular lunch orders this term.

We will do our best to organise lunch orders every now and again however our regular lunch order providers are unable to do lunch orders this term.

warm regards,

Carolyn.
