Rugby News
Last week we had our Open Union team compete at the Bathurst Dio Union competition at Orange Emus. The boys played some great rugby defeating teams from Bathurst, Molong and Blayney to reach the semi final stage. They then took on the highly rated Saint Mary's Dubbo. A great contest occurred with the Cather McAuley boys winning 21-0. Finally they took on Saint Matthews Mudgee in the Regional final. Once again great rugby was produced to win the game 24-7. Catherine McAuley was then crowned the Western Region Champions. They have now earnt an invitation to attend the Chris Gangemi Shield and become State Champions at St Joseph’s College Hunters Hill on the 14th August. We wish them well in this endeavour.
