Student Services
Student Services has been busy updating and completing our NCCD plans and supporting our students in the classroom.
WHAT IS THE NCCD?
The Nationally Consistent Collection of Data on School Students with Disability (NCCD) takes place every year. The NCCD is a collection that counts:
• the number of school students receiving an adjustment or ‘help’ due to disability
• the level of adjustment they are receiving to access education on the same basis as other students.
Students are counted in the NCCD if they receive ongoing adjustments at school due to disability. This ‘help’ allows them to access education on the same basis as a child without disability. All parents and caregivers of HKHS students included in the 2022 National Data Collection will receive a copy of their child’s learning plan early next term.
Safe On Social
This term Year 7-12 participated in a presentation delivered by Kirra Pendergast called Safe on Social. Kirra is a certified training provider for the Australian Office of the eSafety Commissioner. This is the second year we have had Kirra present to our student body. Her presentation included information on keeping personal information private, online stranger danger (online grooming), ethics for when posting and sharing photos, creating a positive digital footprint, curating your online image and cyber-bullying.
