LOWER SECONDARY

7/8 students have been busily planning and working on their stalls for the Winter Fete for this Friday. Students have been collaborating well in their classes, through brainstorming what they are going to make for their stalls, making posters to display around their stall and making invitations to send home. We have explored how to create the items for our stalls, and written procedure texts of how to make our items. Students have worked well together to create various items to sell at their stall during Winter Fete. Students are excited to provide them to the school community! Well done 7/8s!

UPPER SECONDARY

Hello from all the 9/10s! We have been busy completing assessments and finalising any unfinished work before the Term 2 holidays. We have been continued our learning around the World of Work, where we have been learning about what workplace bullying is and the impacts it has on employees. Also, this Friday it is the Winter Fete so the Hungry Jackson Cafe will be selling coffees, soup, sweet treats and also a merchandise stand. Have a happy and safe holidays.

Confidence and Skills through Work Experience

It has been an exciting year for our students who are keen on learning new skills and building their confidence.  Students are actively involved in independent work experience to find out what kinds of work they like and are good at, experience what it is like to be a worker and show their families what is possible for their son or daughter.  Work experience is also a good way for employers to get to know a young person and see them as possible employees.

We would like to thank Braybrook Auto-wreckers, Mambourin, Coles Ardeer, Apex Supply Chain, Reject Shop Keilor, Dimmeys and Deer Park Library who came forward to support us this term.  Without their support this valuable learning experience would not be possible for our students.
