Term 3 Week 2

Specialist Feature News - Indonesian

Selamat pagi!

It is wonderful to be back for a new term! We really started off with a bang this term as students enthusiastic faces leapt into classes and swimming at the same time!

In Indonesian, students have begun their new topics. Both the 3/4 students and 5/6 students nominated their topics of food, through a student voice vote at the end of last term. 5/6 students are reflecting on the differences between traditional Indonesian dishes and foods they are familiar with, in preparation to mock-order at restaurants! 3/4 students will be looking at fresh fruits and vegetables in the marketplaces and how to buy these. In the junior school, 1/2 students have begun learning how to introduce characters in a story-telling unit while Foundation students are learning about wild animals in Indonesia. Don't forget that Indonesian Day is coming up soon on August 17th - start looking out for merah dan putih (red and white) clothes to wear!
