Learning and events in our school this week:

Finishing work for the end of term 2!!!

What can we improve on this week:

                       Actions
Playing games in the yard that can be rough and unfriendly

Remind everyone that games need to be safe and we keep our hands and feet to ourselves so that we are all safe and enjoy playing outside.

STOP the game if it is not ok -  if it’s not ok then talk about why the game had to be stopped - if you need a teacher to help call the teacher on yard duty. Everyone wants to go out and play and have fun during lunch and snack time.

On the yard there has been some arguing and fighting over the game

Remind students about our school rules and expectations-

We respect all students on the yard just like we do inside.

We follow the rules of the game and show good sportsmanship to each other. Nominate someone to be the referee in the game and accept the decision.

A reminder that the soccer field is divided into 2 - 5/6 and 3/4

SRC Representative ACTIONS for this week

School Leaders and SRC  will be looking out for students ‘Caught Being Good’.

They will  be nominating students who are responsible, respectful and ready to learn.

Discuss what these qualities look like.

Respectful - listening, waiting turn, walking through corridor quietly, greeting/speaking to people politely

Responsible - throwing rubbish in the bin, picking up rubbish, returning sports equipment, helping others, kindness

Ready to Learn - listening to the speaker, having materials ready for learning, being on time in class or at school.
