Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus
Dear Sacred Heart Community,
As Mark has mentioned we are celebrating the Feast of the Sacred Heart with a combined parish and school Mass this Sunday 19th June at 10.30am.
Everyone in our community is invited and welcome to attend. W will also celebrate together with members of our parish in the multipurpose room with a morning tea at the conclusion of mass, kindly provided for by our P & F Committee and the parish.
On Monday the 20th June, all students will take part in a range of fun rotating activities including sports, games and dance which will be held in multi age groups. The 5/6 students and Student Representative Team have coordinated these activities to celebrate the Sacred Heart Feast Day together as a school community.
On this day we ask for students to wear a "splash of red" - so perhaps children could wear red socks, a red hairband or hair tie, red ribbons or a red bandana or think of a creative way to wear red to symbolize the heart!
Children are also asked to bring a gold coin or two to raise money which we will donate to St. Vinnies, who do a wonderful job of supporting people in need in our local community.
We will also use all the coins to create a coin line on Monday as one of our activities. It should be a great celebration.
Take Care,
Kate Harris
