School Holiday Programs

I am sharing with you some information I received from AusCycling, the governing body for cycling in Australia. They are running different bike school holiday programs. Please read below if you are interested:

This upcoming school holidays, I'm pleased to be able to offer three exciting bike riding opportunities for your students locally in Thornbury:
- Mini Wheelers Balance Bike School Holiday Program (suitable for younger students)
- Come and Try Track Cycling School Holiday Program (suitable for older students)
- Road Cycling School Holiday Program (suitable for older students)
MINI WHEELERS BALANCE BIKE SCHOOL HOLIDAY PROGRAMS
Learning how to ride builds confidence, character, and coordination. Balance bikes (bikes without pedals) are a great way to improve a child’s balance, control, and awareness skills. After practicing and perfecting these skills on a balance bike, the transition to a bike with pedals is easy.
Mini Wheelers uses exciting games and activities to build the balance, control, and awareness skills. Each session is limited to five children, which means our experienced early years AusCycling Instructor can spend more time with each rider.
Dates and Times:
Wednesday 29 June, 9am - 10am and 10:30am - 11:30am
Wednesday 06 July, 9am - 10am and 10:30am - 11:30am
Location:
Darebin International Sports Centre (DISC), John Cain Memorial Park, 281 Darebin Road, Thornbury. Sessions are held indoors meaning zero traffic and zero rain.
Cost:
$5 per child per session, includes balance bike and helmet hire
Booking Essential:
COME AND TRY TRACK CYCLING SCHOOL HOLIDAY PROGRAM
Want to experience the thrill of riding a track bike for the first time? Ridden on an outdoor velodrome before and want to take your skills to the nest level? Then the Come and Try Track Cycling program this school holidays is for you!
Dates and Times:
Wednesday 29 June, 9am - 11am
Wednesday 06 July, 9am - 11am
Location:
Darebin International Sports Centre (DISC), John Cain Memorial Park, 281 Darebin Road, Thornbury. Sessions are held indoors meaning zero traffic and zero rain.
Cost:
$20 per session, includes track bike and helmet hire
Booking Essential:
ROAD CYCLING SCHOOL HOLIDAY PROGRAM
Love riding your bike and want to take your skills to the next level? Then the Road Cycling program this school holidays is for you! This action-packed program is full of exciting skills and bike maintenance activities plus a ride along the Darebin Creek Trail.
Dates and Times:
Tuesday 28 June, 10am - 2pm
Tuesday 05 July, 10am - 2pm
Location:
Darebin International Sports Centre (DISC), John Cain Memorial Park, 281 Darebin Road, Thornbury.
Cost:
$50 per session, includes bike and helmet hire if required
