P.E and Sport

DIVISION SWIMMING
On Wednesday 16th March Evie, Austin, Indi (qualified but absent) Michael, Kobe, Riley, Billy, Macey, Alfred, Lachie, Raine, Lily and Macey all competed at the Division Swimming Championships representing not only St Joseph's, but the Phillip District. Our swimmers competed against students from 39 other schools. What an INCREDIBLE achievement.

It was absolutely amazing to watch not only their swimming ability but their team spirit and support towards one another. I couldn't be more proud.
All swimmers swam exceptionally well. Both our Open Medley Relay teams were nail biting finishes with the boys (Riley, Kobe, Billy and Austin) touching in 3rd position.
Our girls Medley Team appeared to be one of the only teams with students from Year 3, 4, 5 and 6. Congratulations Lily, Raine, Evie and Macey.
We also had exceptional individual races
Austin- 1st in both Butterfly and Backstroke
Lachlan- 1st in both Freestyle and Backstroke
Alfred- 1st in both Freestyle and Backstroke
Evie- 2nd in both Breaststroke and Backstroke
Michael- 3rd in Butterfly

Alfred, Lachlan and Austin competed at the Southern Metro Region Carnival on Monday 28th March.

Southern Metro Region Swimming Carnival- Monday 28th March

Congratulations to Austin, Alfred and Lachlan L who competed at MSAC on Monday. What an impressive achievement competing at this level! All three swimmers swam incredibly.

Austin placed 4th in both Butterfly and Backstroke.

Alfred placed 2nd in Freestyle and 3rd in Backstroke.

Lachlan placed 1st in both Freestyle and Backstroke and will now be competing at State level at the end of April.

DIVISION TENNIS

Congratulations Michael, Billy, Renee and Evie, who represented St Joseph's at the Division Tennis Competition last Friday. All four students had a wonderful day competing against the other schools in our division. Congratulations to Michael who ended up placing 3rd.

Southern Peninsula Come and Try Day

Thank-you to all the students who attended the basketball come and try afternoon held last Thursday. It was fabulous to watch you all.
