Sustain Our Swan

Last week Year 7 students participated in a range of engaging activities to raise awareness of our responsibility to care for the local environment, especially the Swan River. Activities on the riverfront encouraged the students to consider how people can protect the river environment and care for dolphins. There were two presentations which enabled students to learn about and get up close to native animals, including large pythons! Students also learnt about the Aboriginal history of this area, which was known as Matagarup, and about the traditions and history of Trinity College.

After lunch students put some of their experiences into practice by participating in a rubbish audit to discover what items were put into the school bins at lunch time. The challenge going forward is for students to become leaders in environmental sustainability for our College. Thank you for the tireless work of the staff who assisted throughout the week with the Sustain Our Swan program, Mr Ray Kosovich, Mr Michael Slack-Smith, Ms Rosa West  and Ms Jena McDowell.

Tabgha Retreat

On Wednesday 16 March, all Year 12 students will be participating in the Tabgha Retreat. This will take place at seven different venues. Students will share this experience with their Pastoral Care Group, PCG teacher and each group will also have an experienced staff member leading the Retreat. I thank all parents and carers for continuing to encourage our students to participate in their final retreat at Trinity College. For safety purposes, please ensure that your son has a mask, his SafeWA App to check in, his digital certificate for Double Vaccination on his phone or as a printed copy. This is a requirement of entry for some of our venues. In addition, please ensure your son has packed a pen, a water bottle and a hat in his sport bag. Casual, appropriate dress for the day is required. Thank you once again for supporting this important spiritual experience for your son.

Friday 8am Mass

Thank you to all our Year 12 PCG who have hosted our Friday Community Mass over the past few weeks.

On Friday 18 March, our 8am Mass will be dedicated to all those devastated by the conflict in the Ukraine and Russia. Some of our staff and students have family in both countries who are experiencing trauma, grief, fear and uncertainty at this time. PCG 12.7 will be hosting this Mass. Let us all pray for peace together.
