Out Of School Hours Care

OSHC News

My Time Our Place

During week 9 and 10 the children engaged in a variety of activities in the OSHC room, the oval and the playground. Inside the children ignited their creativity by seeing what they could create with an assortment of recycled materials. The children demonstrated a range of processes such as experimentation, problem solving and curiosity. The children were able to create cardboard cars, mobile phones and walkie talkies.

Outside the children have shown interest in using the chalk to draw pictures and to invent and play outdoor games. A favourite that enables the children to work together as a group and also demonstrate their ability to share and understand reciprocal rights is handball. The children love playing against the educators too!

During the last week of school, the children enjoy discussing their plans for the holidays and school camp with the educators. These conversations allow the children and educators to develop supportive and trusting relationships with the children and enable the children to utilise their communication skills.
