The Leader In Me

As we begin back to Term 3, our students have been busy setting new Wildly Important Goals for the term in both personal and academic areas. Each class has also set their own WIG for the class community to work together to achieve. I encourage you to speak with your child over the term to find out how their progress is tracking for their goal, and what actions they are doing to achieve this. Our Year 3 – 5 students have ‘Accountability Partners’ who they check in with throughout the term to show their progress and discuss how they can continue to track towards success.

It has been wonderful to see the parent attendance at the Leader In Me Sessions for the Quartet phases. This provided insight into how the Leader In Me works across the phases and how The 7 Habits are integrated throughout the curriculum in both home group and specialist classes. I thank the parents for their attendance and support.

In the upcoming weeks, our students will be focusing on Habit 2: Begin With The End in Mind and Habit 3: Put First Things First. Students can not only be applying these habits at school but are encouraged to be transferring these habits to home life. Making a plan and being organised are key aspects of our lives and students are encouraged to use these to develop their independence and initiative as they progress through the Quartet phases, contributing to them being the best leaders they can be.
