Buildings and Grounds update

Stage 1 Building Works have begun

Stage 1 of our building works have begun. It is only the very beginning stages but it is great to see that it is no longer a plan on a piece of paper. The ground has been dug in readiness for the new building. 

The building site will include the open space in between the Science/Tech building and   B Block. There is no impact to our curriculum program, but students will notice that they will not be able to take a short cut from the current B Block to the Senior school or D block across the open space. This will add extra foot traffic to the link corridor during busy changeover times.

Basketball Courts

Finally, the asphalt has been laid on the basketball courts and work can continue. I know the students are waiting in anticipation and we hope it will not be too much longer.

Senior School Shade Sails

The installation of the Senior School shade sails is complete. This will provide extra outdoor cover area for our students as the sails are waterproof. The next stage is to install table and chairs under the sails to provide extra seating and it can also be used as an outdoor classroom.

Outdoor Table Tennis Table

The installation of an outdoor table tennis table is complete and it is getting a lot of use during recess and lunchtime. It is great to see so many students taking part in table tennis competitions. The students are playing so well together. We will also be installing some seating in this area.
