SJV Indonesian Day Celebrations 2022 - Wednesday, August 10th (Next Week!)

Selamat pagi! (Good morning!)

I am pleased to announce that this year St John Vianney’s will celebrate our Indonesian Day in our school on Wednesday 10 August 2022.

On this day, we are delighted to have cultural workshops and performances delivered by Victoria’s leading Indonesian incursion group Bagus Kan!. The engaging workshops will include learning Indonesian traditional dances, costumes, and musical instruments.

Prep(s) Indonesian Dance Performance (Parents are Welcome):

Parents are invited to celebrate and enjoy the amazing Indonesian dance performance by our Prep classes at 2:15pm in the Parish Hall. Due to the current  situation we are currently in, only Prep classes  will deliver the Indonesian performance after lunch instead the whole school. A very special and warm welcome to our Prep parents who will celebrate our school Indonesian Day for the first time.

Dress Up:

The children will be encouraged to dress up in red & white OR red & black celebrating the Indonesian national colours.

Fun Activities:

Our Grade 6 Leaders are taking the initiative to prepare fun games and activities throughout the day such as Indonesian mask making, quiz, and face painting (please inform the teacher if your child does not require face painting).

We look forward to seeing you on the day and having a fantastic Indonesian celebration in our school again.
