Year 8 Religious Education

The Year 8 students in RE studies are currently researching a  unit based around 'Community'.

We are focusing on what community service looks like at Marian College and within the 'Kildare Ministries' context.

Students will also be researching Brigidine heritage identifying signs & symbols related to our logo & motto as well as looking at our Irish heritage including Daniel Delany and the 6 nuns who reimagined the Brigidine tradition in Tullow in 1807.

We'll also have Senior Yr 11 & 12 members of the JDF, Vinnies and LEO's dropping to chat with each Yr 8 homeroom  about the local and community work of each service group.

We are also researching the 3 Kildare Ministries of:

  • Presentation Family Centre
  • Wellsprings for Women
  • Brigidine Asylum Seekers Project

We look forward to a wonderful term learning about our history & heritage and discovering how everyone can make a difference through community and service.
