Data in the World

On Monday 1 August, the Data in the World class took a walking tour of our local area to consider our local places and what they mean to people. As a class we collected both qualitative and quantitative data about walkability at the local shopping strip, and how people were using local facilities such as the Kororoit Creek Bike Path.

We also looked at how the area has changed recently, including plantings and revegetation. This included the fantastic Walan-walan sculpture, which shows the local indigenous knowledge of the seven local seasons we experience here in Sunshine West.
