Each year since 1945 the Children's Book Council of Australia has brought children and books together across Australia through CBCA Book Week. During this time schools and public libraries spend one glorious week celebrating books and Australian children's authors and illustrators. Classroom teachers, teacher librarians and public librarians create colourful displays, develop activities, run competitions and tell stories relating to a theme to highlight the importance of reading. You will often see parades with students dressed as their favourite book character.
We will be holding our Book Week Day on Friday, August 26th.
The children are encouraged to dress up in characters from their favorite book.
Our Book Week Dress Up Parade will be held on the day at 9.15 am in the Gym, all are welcome so come along to enjoy the show.
Trafalgar High School VCAL students are designing a display about the 2022 theme, dreaming with eyes open, which will be displayed in the foyer.
The AFL Junior X tournament this year will run on Thursday, September 15th at the Moe Racecourse from 10:00am-2:00pm.
This event will be a large carnival-like experience for grades 3 - 6, further details will be available soon.
