Program Update

We are now approaching the middle of Term 1 and it has been fantastic to see how well children have been able to settle into the program! New Foundation students are becoming familiar with different routines such as arriving at OSHClub, afternoon tea, packing up and several are even comfortable making their own way over to their classrooms after Before School Care! We have also experienced a large increase in bookings in 2020 – it is now common to have 60-70 children booked into After School Care and 30-40 booked into Before School Care - it has been absolutely fantastic to see the way in which grade 3-6 children have taken extra responsibility around the service; now often helping educators to serve afternoon tea, help younger students with composting and contributing their ideas on how we can become a more sustainable service.

Some of our popular  activities throughout the week have included DIY Play Dough, competitive cricket matches on the oval , our new sustainable whiteboards for drawing, ‘Talent Show’ and ‘Shopkeeper’ role play, bracelet construction, Beyblades and icy-pole stick construction. We will continue to ask children about their new interests and popular trends each week to ensure we maintain a child-driven educational program.

Parents – please note that although we strive to be as flexible as possible with bookings and our number of placements, that the service is staffed according to the number of bookings and that we may occasionally be unable to accept walk-in bookings – if you require a last-minute booking please call the service on  0427 144 945 and we will do our best to accommodate your needs!

Please remember that your child requires an enrolment in order to attend the service – even if you do not expect them to attend, we are unable to provide emergency care unless they have an enrolment – this ensures that we are informed in regards to their needs and able to provide the appropriate care.

If you are a new family or existing family with any questions, please feel free to come in and visit the program and make a familiar face at any time 😊

Reminder to parents:

• Children are required by our regulations to wear both sun hats and sunscreen when playing outside in Term 1 & Term 4 – can parents please ensure that children either have a hat stored in the hat tub at OSHClub or in their bag at all times.

REMEMBER: Ensuring your children are booked to attend OSHClub helps us to cater for your children’s needs and ensure we have enough educators to look after your children.

If you are having difficulty using the OSHClub online booking system, please call head office on 1300 395 735. Otherwise, you can book your child into the program on the day by calling or texting 0427 144 945.
