Office News

Some may have already noticed but we have a 'Compass Kiosk' at the front office which allows for electronic signing in for visitors to the school, plus signing in late students and early departures.  It is very simple to use and Sandy is always happy to assist.

Permission and payment for most excursions/incursions/activities is available online through Compass, and is easy, safe and convenient.  A paper note doesn't need to be completed if giving permission through Compass.  If paying by CSEF or cash the paper note still needs to be returned please.

CSEF (Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund) applications close on 21st June, so if you are a new eligible Health Care Card holder please see the office for more information or see information in Compass School Documentation.  If you applied for CSEF in 2018, you do not need to complete a new application form in 2019.  Thank you.

Walk to School Day

National Walk to School Day on Friday, May 17th was a great success. We had 101 students walk to school, either in the walking buses or with their parents/older siblings. Feedback from all involved was that this was a fantastic initiative.

A huge thank you to the House Captains who did a great job going around to the classes, taking a tally of how many walked and giving out the stickers.

A big thank you also to those of you that took part and a special thanks to our Grade 1 teacher, Jennah Sobevski, for all of her hard work organising the event.

JUMP ROPE FOR HEART

Term 2 is Jump Rope for Heart term at Rollins! Students have started to learn and practice their skipping skills in P.E sessions. It is a wonderful way to get all children fit and healthy. The program aims to raise money for the Heart Foundation. Each student will receive a brochure explaining how to sign up to our school page (www.jumprope.org.au). There are some great prizes to be won.

On the last day of term there will be a special day for students to showcase the skills they have learnt. Our school aim is to raise $1000 to help those with heart conditions.
