PARENTS ASSOCIATION NEWS
Pancake Tuesday
We will be celebrating Pancake Tuesday next week. A Care Monkey notice was posted yesterday. Please respond by Monday 24th February, if your child will, or will not, be receiving a pancake. If you are able to assist on the day, we will start preparing from 9am in the school hall. If you have a hand mixer and a large bowl to bring, it would be greatly appreciated.
If you have any lemons to donate, we would greatly appreciate them.
Sports Day
Thursday 5th March is our Twilight School Sports night. We require parent help on the night to cook and serve sausages, potato cakes, hot chips and to also make and serve coffee. There is a roster up in the office foyer or you can call the office to let them know you can assist.

We still require Class Representatives for each classroom. The sign-up sheet is in the office foyer.
Below is a description of the Class Representative role:
Every class at Christ Our Holy Redeemer Primary School has two parent class representative positions. We are asking parents to please volunteer for roles. The class representative role is very important to our school community. It provides support to the teachers and acts as a liaison between teachers and parents in the school.
The role of class representatives:
- Be supportive of staff and the whole school ethos.
- Invite parents to include their contact details (ask parents their preferred form of communication) for communication of class messages and events etc.
- Contact new families on arrival and personally welcome them to the school community.
- To organise opportunities for the parents in your child’s class to meet socially and help them get to the know each other. Events might include family picnic or parent’s dinner.
- Class representatives, and other class helpers, are respectful of everyone’s privacy and ensure that the confidentiality of teachers, students and parents is maintained at all times.
