We are over half way in Term 3, and its time to think about Summer sports again, Oztag in particular!!
Please remind all your teams from Term 1 that they remain the same and continue in Term 4. EXCEPT MiNiTaG (see attached flyer). MiNiTaG players who registered using the Active Kids Voucher are already registered for Term 4.
Each team is to be in matching shirts with a number on the back, so get organised now. Thread Effects is doing a discount on junior teams wanting team shirts, so give them a call. The first week of Term 4 games will recommence, and this is the last opportunity to add any new players ($50 rego), very limited though. Katrina Davis, Development Officer
Junior Cricket
St Edward's Cricket Club
Your child has indicated that he/she would like to play cricket in the TJCA 2019/20 primary competition.
Tamworth Junior Cricket (TJCA) competition coincides with the cricket season and is played over term 4(2019) and term 1(2020). Those children who are currently in year 6 will play a term 4 comp only to enable them to then play for their respective high schools next year.
Primary cricket is played on Saturday mornings on various grounds in Tamworth, Kootingal, Nemingha, Moonbi & Kingswood.
In 2019/2020, Tamworth Junior Cricket will be running the following comps with the following formats:
- Year 6 - Term 4 comp only.
- Year 5 - will play Term 4 and Term 1 using the Cricket Australia 'Stage 2' rules which is 9 a side and will be 25 over matches.
- Year 4 - will play Term 4 and Term 1 using Cricket Australia 'Stage 1' rules which is 7 a side with 20 over matches (if students in yr 2 or 3 have already played a number of years of Master Blaster they can play up in the year 4 comp).
- Years 2 and 3 - will play Term 4 and Term 1 in the 'Woolworth's Master Blaster com' which replaces Milo T20 Blast.
- Kinder and Year 1 - Woolworths Junior Blasters which replaces Milo In2 Cricket.
From this season onwards ALL registration is now online (see link below). All players are to register as individuals.
The link for all registrations is - https://playcricket.com.au/ All registration links will be active from now. Don’t forget that there is a 2nd active kids voucher that can be redeemed.
Registrations are to be completed by the end of the term.
Once you have completed the online registration, could you please email your child’s name and class to ajones1@arm.catholic.edu.au so that we can track players and numbers for teams.

Congratulations to St Ed's Giants and St Ed's Fantales who are straight through to the grand final. St Ed's Skittles will play their final this week and are hoping to advance to the grand final. Good luck girls!!
