Nut Aware School

St Edward's has a number of students who have severe and mild allergies to both peanuts and tree nuts. Please be very conscious of this when packing your child's lunch. The smallest traces can cause a severe anaphylactic reaction. Please try not to pack Nutella, peanut butter, other nut butters and nut bars. Thank you for your understanding.

Change of Details

It is imperative that the School Office be advised about any change of details such as change in family situation, address, workplace, email addresses, phone numbers – mobile and landline for home and work.

Summer Uniform

It is wonderful to see that the weather is finally warming up.  Students are now permitted to wear either FULL summer or FULL winter uniform for the remainder of this term.  They are not to wear a mixture of both.  At the commencement of Term 4, all students are expected to be in full summer uniform.  A reminder to ensure all clothing items are clearly labelled with your child’s name.

Second Hand Clothing Pool

Have you recently had a sort through your children’s summer school uniforms and have unwanted items? If so, both the Infants and Primary Clothing Pools are in desperate need of good quality second hand items.  Items can be donated or sold on consignment with 20% commission taken by the school.  Our clothing pool is open from 8.30am to 3.30pm each school week day.  Most second hand items such as boys shorts, short sleeve shirts, jumpers are $5 and summer tunics $10.  Please see the office staff for further details.

Parent Teacher Interviews

During weeks 8 & 9,  Kindergarten, Year 3 & Year 6 will be offering Parent Teacher Interviews which can be booked online. Other classes will offer interviews in Term 4.  A note will be posted on Seesaw about access to these interviews.

Sickness

There still continues to be a large number of students who have fallen sick with Gastro and Influenza. The only way we can control the spread of these bugs is by trying to make sure that students who are unwell, do not attend school. If your child complains of feeling ill, please keep them home to try and avoid spreading these bugs further. Please note the recommended 48 hour exclusion for students from school and child care centres following a bout of viral gastroenteritis.

There has also been a reported case of Slapped Cheek Disease at the Infants Campus last week.
