FRENCH

Year 7 & 8 French

On joue à la pétanque!

In the final week of Term 4, Year 7’s and 8’s enjoyed a little taste of playing “boules” the French way.

Ideally it is played on a slightly gravelly, dirt surface rather than grass. And we found one such suitable spot on school grounds.

Thank- you

Year 9 French

Year 9 French students are introduced to some fun activities and different ways to learn long lists of vocabulary.

Unit 1 from Tapis Volant 2 has 102 new expressions and words. Bridget Baumanis knew them all!

Félicitations Bridget!

Joyeux Noël et une heureuse Bonne Année

What a lovely way to end 2019!

It has been a pleasure meeting our new French students and we look forward to teaching you in 2020.

Message for our students:

We would like you to think about what you could do during the holidays, that may involve a little of French learning. Perhaps you may like to play on Duolingo, watch a few French movies or simply read and listen to French music. Although we want you to enjoy time with your family and make the most of your Summer break, try and make French part of your daily routine. You may even just want to start by changing the settings on your phone to French.

Message for our parents:

A special thank you to all our mums, dads and carers for continuing to encourage your children to learn a language and for your endless support and lovely emails throughout the year.

À l’année prochaine et bonnes vacances!
