Parish News

'We are committed to the safety, wellbeing and dignity of all children and vulnerable adults.'

From the Parish Bulletin

“The disciples were filled with joy and the Holy Spirit.” (Acts 13:52) The disciples heard Our Lord's call and were able to spread the Gospel message with strength and vitality. We, too, can experience that same joy if we make room for the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts. When we use our gifts in the way that God intends, He fills us with supernatural joy. A joy that others notice and are attracted to.

On Mother's day, We remember that not all mothers are the same And our experiences of motherhood vary… On this Day we acknowledge those Who mother others – in past present and future :

Biological Mothers, those who raised their children

Biological Mothers, those who their children did not get to know

Guardians and stepmothers who raised children

Grandmothers who are part of their grandchildren's lives

Mothers who have died

Mothers to be Mothers raising their children now

Mothers who have lost contact with their children

Mothers who are in difficult relationships

Mothers who are bringing up children on their own

Mothers in law to their children's partners

Mothers who are overwhelmed

Mothers who feel inadequate or guilty

Those who lament that they did not get to be mothers

Mothers who nurtured and protected their children

Mothers who let their children down

Mothers who taught their children the meaning of unconditional love

Mothers who supported their children

Mothers who defended their children

Mothers who are doing it tough

Mothers who passed on values to their children

Mothers who led their children to faith

Mothers who sacrificed for their children

Mothers who cannot provide, as they would like for their children

Mothers who co-parent their children with a separated partner

Mothers who are limited by their physical, mental, emotional health.

All women who did and do their best!

Happy mother's day

To all those who have been “mother” to others in any way,

Today we ask for God's peace and blessings to be upon you.

Amen

Have a good week
