In praise of ...
Mathew and Omal from our 3/4 neighbourhoods were wonderful leaders and friends recently to our little neighbours at the Kinder. Last week the kindergarten students at Alfred Street were lined up at the fence. Mathew & Omal were in the garden tending to the chickens with Tamara and Sue. They had a chicken each & were letting the ELC students pat the chickens. They were talking to the students about the chickens, letting them know that they lay eggs and how they live and eat. Mathew then proceeded to come & get the eggs & show the ELC students what the eggs looked like. All students involved were deeply engaged. What a lovely connection and what a lovely story to share. Well done Mathew and Omal
