Somers Camp 2020
The Rotary Club of Hamilton North is prepared to sponsor 2 students to attend Big Camp 2020 which will take place in January 2020.
Eligibility:
- Students to be aged 16.5 to 18 years in January 2020
- Lord Somers Camp welcomes young men (4 - 11 January 2020)
- Lady Somers Camp welcomes young women (12 - 18 January 2020)
- Student applying must be able to attend the programs for the whole of the times stated.
- Applications close Friday 20 September
The process this year requires that we (The Rotary Club of Hamilton North) nominate students, based on recommendations from the school.
If there are more than 2 applicants then the school will need to select & recommend just 2.
Rotary will then nominate the 2 selected students to the Camp organisers, can be 2 boys, 2 girls or one of each.
The Camp organisers will then contact the 2 applicants with further questions to finalise selection.
Students who are selected & who attend camp will be expected to speak about their experience to the Rotary club in Hamilton at a meeting some time in 2020.
The cost of attending the camp is $576 per student & Rotary will cover that cost for the 2 selected students who are successful in gaining a place on the camp.
Interested students are encouraged to visit the camp website www.lscph.org.au & also speak with Baimbridge student Chandler Barker-Joseph who attended the camp last year.
Note that applications close 20th September & as we (Rotary) have to send in the nominations, we should be receiving details of the recommended students one week before that
Friday 13th September.
