2020 Enrolments

Families are reminded that if thy wish to withdraw their child(ren) from Mount Carmel College they are required to give ten (10) school weeks notice. This does not include school holiday weeks.

Families must provide the College with written notice of their decision to cancel their child's/children's enrolment.

Where notice of ten school weeks is not provided, full tuition fees may need to be paid to the College for the number of school weeks where notice was not provided. This includes withdrawal prior to the start of the school year.

For more information, please contact enrol@mountcarmel.tas.edu.au or the College Office on 6216 7900.

College Bike Rack

The College has installed a 5-station bike rack for students who wish to ride their bike to and from school.

The rack is located at the Quorn Street end of the College, just inside the gate in front of the Sophia Centre.

More bike racks will be installed if the need arises.

Parenting Anxious Kids Online Course

Anxiety is debilitating, and will reoccur in adulthood if left unmanaged in childhood. Fortunately, there is so much parents and teachers can do to assist kids when they are anxious.

Parenting Anxious Kids Online Course is designed for the parents and teachers of primary school aged children and teenagers who experience anxiety. Held over six sessions (each running for 30-40 minutes) and featuring leading authorities from around the world, the course offers a range of tools to help manage and respond to anxiety, both in the moment and over the long term. Designed by author and award-winning parenting speaker Michael Grose and wellbeing expert Dr Jodi Richardson, the course also provides information on what anxiety is and how it functions in the brain and the body. Included in the course are mindfulness and breathing techniques, as well as strategies on nutrition, exercise, goal-setting, awareness, lifestyle changes, screen time and more.

The course has been designed to be completed at any pace and you can revisit it as many times as needed.

Up until 30 November 2019, you can take advantage of $60 off the cost of the course.

Parents & Friends News

The Parents and Friends Association have teamed up with Banjos Sandy Bay to offer College families the opportunity to give back to the College just by shopping at the Sandy Bay Bakery Cafe.

Families can collect a Sponsorship Card from the College Office and upon scanning when making a purchase at the Sandy Bay store, the Parents & Friends will earn points which are then redeemable as cash back, contributing towards the funding of school resources.

If you would like a Sponsorship Card, please collect on from the College Office.

It must be noted that families cannot use both the College Sponsorship card and their personal frequent shopper card in the one transaction.
