Level 1/2

What a busy few weeks it has been! Level 1 and 2 students enjoyed looking at and buying books from the book fair. We had a fabulous time dressing up as our favourite book characters. It was lovely to see all the students animated as their characters and see all the creative costumes that were put together. Students then enjoyed three different rotations in multi-age groups, doing a variety of book related activities. All the students reported back, sharing about the activities and their groups, and highlighted how much they enjoyed the variety.
Level 1 has been practicing and working on their fine motor skills. Students have explored a range of activities including manipulating playdough, threading, pegs, cutting, handwriting, colouring, using rubber bands, and ripping and scrunching paper. We are working on supporting students to hold and use pencils in the appropriate way, to form their letters correctly and encourage strong writing fingers.
We congratulate the Level 5 and 6 students on working so hard and putting on a fantastic production. Level 1 and 2 students enjoyed watching a sneak preview on Thursday, along with a dress up day of the theme Ali Baba and the Bongo Bandits. Thanks for a great show!
Level 3 students also put on a short show of The Ugly Duckling which F-2 students enjoyed.
Level 1 and 2 has started our new topic of Chemical Science: All mixed up! Over the next few weeks we will explore recipes, mixing ingredients and making non-editable things. Please watch your students Seesaw for updates about the exciting activities they complete over the next few weeks!
We would just like to remind everyone that Rangeview supports and encourages healthy eating. Please remember to include one serve of fruit and one serve of vegetable in your student’s lunch box each day.
