Out and About the School

IMPORTANT TERM DATES

The last day of school for students will be Wednesday 18 December 2019.

The first day of 2020 for Yr 1 - Yr 6 will be Friday 31 January 2020. The later start date is due to CSO mandatory Professional Development Days.

Notice to Year 6 Parents

St Mary’s Homework Centre opens each afternoon Monday to Thursday from 3:30-4:30pm. St Mary’s students frequent the Homework Centre at this time as there are teachers available for support and all necessary resources are at hand. Students also value the opportunity to do their homework before they leave school to go home each day. The Homework Centre is offering a series of Open Days on November 12th, 13th and 14th for families enrolling their children at St Mary’s in Year 7, 2020. All new families are welcome to come and inspect the Homework Centre on those days and meet with the teachers involved.

Compass Parent Portal

The new Compass Parent Portal is now live.

By now, you should have received your individual letters in the post which contain instructions and your unique login details. Please contact the office if you have not received this.

Once you have registered on the website, you will be able to download the Compass App to your phone. You will then be able to receive notifications about upcoming events, update your details, enter absences for your child and more.

Different modules will be rolled out over time, giving you more access and details. In the meantime please take the time to register and download the App.

Once you have registered using the instructions in your letter, download the App:

1. Search for “Compass School Manager” in ITunes (Apps Store)  for iPhone)  or  Android App Store - (Google Play)

2. Search for GUNNEDAH.

3. You will be asked to put in your individual login details.

4. You will then be taken to the homepage of our school's Parent Portal.

Current cuts that show fading, mohawks and long fringes etc are very cool but please save them for the holidays.
