School Council 

FROM THE PRESIDENT 

Dear Parents,

I hope that this note finds you well and that you are slowly adapting to helping your children with their home learning. 

I know that I have found it challenging with my full-time busy job and being a guide for my Grade 3 son with his learning tasks. But I have also been enjoying being able to see my son so much more and I personally enjoy working from home and being away from a noisy, open-plan office.

I am mainly writing to express my deep appreciation for the amazing job done by our teachers, principal and assistant principal in getting ready for home learning well before the school holidays started, and for the massive amount of work they have put in with creating a deep and interesting learning program for our children. I also think it's been a fantastic idea to have the daily, live Webex classes. I know from some other parents in the area, whose children attend other schools, that not all schools have been so very well prepared and some are not having the daily, live classes with their teachers.

Finally, I thought the MPS video was really wonderful and I personally felt quite emotional looking at it! It was a lovely way to help improve well being and to show the children they were being thought of and missed.

We are still continuing our work on school council and at the sub-committees, and will be holding the next SC meeting next Monday night on Webex.
