Years 3-6 back at school
Students in Years 3-6, joined the Foundation - 2's, returning to onsite learning on Tuesday June 9. Lots of happy faces finally got to catch up with their friends and once again play together!
All the primary students did an amazing job of finding some crazy and colourful outfits and proudly paraded them at lunchtime out on the turf!
A special mention to those who were given a prize for their colourful creations;

Foundation Class
The Foundation students have been busy over the last few weeks. Students have been practising their maths skills with a ladybird addition activity.
In Literacy lessons, the students have been looking at the Nursery Rhyme Hey diddle diddle.
The students made puppets and then each one performed a puppet show to the rest of their class.
Foundation students have also been working hard at doing their nightly readers. Congratulations to all students who've earnt a Reading Certificate;

Foundation students have had some hands on fun in their textiles lessons doing weaving with wool. They are currently working on some wonderful Rainbow Fish creations which are a work in progress... look out for the finished creations in a future edition of Whytalla!
Year 1/2
As part of Humanities this term, Year 1 and 2 students are learning to identify with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Country/Place on which the school is located and learn why this place is important to First Australians in this area.
Miss Nicky took her class out to the front oval to learn a bit more about the Aboriginal cricketers from 1868 who played on the oval at Edenhope and toured England.
Year 3/4
The Year 3/4 class have been focusing on time and procedural texts this week. The students have had a great time learning how to play dominos and playing the digital and analogue clock version too!
Harmony Day
Primary students will have another go at celebrating Harmony Day. The initial celebrations planned for the end of Term 2 have been on hold but will now take place next Friday June 26. Primary students are invited to wear something orange for the day. Do rations of bottle top lids would be gratefully received!
