Last Day of Term 2

Next Friday June 26 is the last day of Term 2- Please remember school finishes early at 2.20pm. Semester 1 reports will be sent home on Friday with students or they can be collected from the Front Office in Term 3.

Crazy Colour Day

Tuesday June 9 was a bright and happy day for staff and students at Edenhope College!

The long awaited return of students in Years 3 - 10 to school and a sense of we are finally back to some normality!

SRC

The SRC and Student Voice Representatives met for the first time since returning to school. Top of their agenda was to discuss plans for a reheating station for next term, which the SRC members will staff. Keep your eyes peeled for more details!

Uniform

In the transition back to school period, a more relaxed approach to school uniform has been taken. However we encourage all students to please wear full school uniform next term.

Please see the Front Office if you do not have the correct items, there are plenty of items available from the Second Hand Uniform collection.

It is hoped that the new school jumper will arrive before the end of Term 2. Unfortunately we are unable to find a new supplier for the old style V neck woollen jumper, so have instead opted for a 1/2 zip polar fleece style jumper. As with the sports shirts and jackets, we will have sample sizes available to try on for size in the Office. Jumpers will cost $38 for the kids sizes and $40 for the adults sizes.

Roowards

Before heading of on Maternity Leave, Kat Close presented Jack Maund with his EB Games Voucher which he earnt last Term after getting 30 Roorewards for displaying the College Value of being safe, respectful and willing to learn. Great work Jack!

Guten Tag!

Wie geht es Ihnen?

Good day, I am your new German teacher at Edenhope College. It is my pleasure to teach your child German.

So far, we have learnt some pronunciation, how to greet each other in German, numbers, colours, pronouns and some Subject-Verb Agreement.

Learning a second language has many advantages such as being able to make better decisions, improve memory and increase attention span. Over the years, I have had great opportunities to teach students from diverse backgrounds, culturally and linguistically.

I hope your child will enjoy learning German and be able to converse a bit by the end of this academic school year.

Should you have any questions or would like to know more about language learning, please don’t hesitate to come and see me at Edenhope College for a cup of ‘Kaffee’!

Yours in Education,

Ms. Staeffler
