Be encouraged in hard times.

A reading from the second letter of St Paul to the Corinthians.

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the merciful Father and the God who gives every

possible encouragement; he supports us in every hardship, so that we are able to come to

the support of others in every hardship of theirs because of the encouragement that we

ourselves receive from God. For just as the sufferings of Christ overflow into our lives; so

too does the encouragement we receive through Christ. The word of the Lord.

Dear Parents and Friends,

We gathered today to remember our dear friend and Year 11 student Pavan Sharma  and to pray for his family and friends at this time of shock and unexpected grief.

Please see some prayers and readings from liturgies held over the week.

We pray for Pavan.  May he be held in God's loving embrace now and for ever.  We pray to the Lord.

We pray for the family and friends of Pavan.  May they know the support and comfort of God at this difficult time.  We pray to the Lord.

We pray for those who are experiencing hardship and difficulty in life.  May they know that they are not alone and can always find support.  

We pray to the Lord.

God of Love and Compassion, hear these prayers we place before you today and grant them in Your Mercy through Your Son, Jesus Christ.

God of Life,

We mourn the loss of Pavan from our lives but we entrust him now into your love and into your gentle care.  Give strength and comfort to thos who need you at this time and remind each of us that you care for us always.  We make this prayer, and all our prayers, throught Christ, our Lord.
