Student Representative Council

On Friday, 12 June, the Student  Representative Council leadership team planned a day to raise awareness about Breast Cancer. Breast cancer is the abnormal growth of the cells lining the breast lobules or ducts, growing uncontrollably, and having the potential to spread to other parts of the body. Both men and women can develop Breast Cancer.

Leading up to the day, the SRC team sold lollipops during Connect classes and collected donations for Mr Brame - Head Teacher Science, to have his head shaved.

On Friday during lunch break, students and staff surrounded Mr Brame as he had his head shaved while the Year 12 Music students showcased their talents by putting on a concert.

As a school, we managed to raise $1848 and a total of $3000 was raised for the National Breast Cancer Foundation of Australia. Thank you to all staff and students who joined together to build a supportive atmosphere within our Cecil community in fundraising and raising awareness surrounding Breast Cancer.
