Online Trivia

We are excited to announce our first ever SKiPPS Online Trivia Night.

After a difficult socially distanced term, we thought we would end on a high point with a social event for parents before the school holidays. Whilst this is designed as a social event, any small profit will be used by the school for our fundraising objective of building classroom libraries of rich literature for our students.

When: Thursday 25th June 8pm - 9:30pm

Where: Via Zoom (link to be provided following booking)

Who: The trivia will be led by the wonderful Janet McLeod, St Kilda comedian and trivia host

How: Contestants will work in teams (of a maximum of ten people) and Janet will use Zoom to ask questions and then send you into virtual 'rooms' so you are able to socialise and confer. You can book multiple tickets together with friends to ensure you are in a team together or we will place you into teams based on year level of your children. This is a great way to reconnect with our community or meet new parents in your child's year level.

Cost: $10 per person. Please buy one ticket for each adult taking part.

End of Term arrangements

A reminder that next Friday (26th June) is our final day of term before our mid-year break.

As usual, we will be finishing early on this day but will also have a staggered finish to reduce congestion and parents congregating outside the school gates.

Our Year 5/6 and Year 3/4 students finishing at 2:20pm and our Foundation, Year 1 and Year 2 students will finish at 2:30pm.

As usual, TheirCare will be offering an

after-school program from 2:20pm on this day.

Term 3 arrangements

Whilst it has been wonderful returning to school routines over the last few weeks, we are aware that there still some important parts of our school that have not returned to normal.

The Education Department directive based on advice from the Chief Health Officer that we limit parents and carers coming onto site for non-essential purposes mean that our basketball training and orchestra have not yet been able to re-start.

Rest assured, we are monitoring health advice regularly and will be doing everything we can to allow these extra-curricular activities to start again from the beginning of term 3. Further advice will be provided next week.
