Holidays and Library Books

We would love to see some of the student’s borrowed resources from Term 2 coming back to the Library. Last week we sent teachers a list of books to remind students about what they have borrowed. We have suggested to students that holidays might be the time to really look for some of the missing books so they can be returned when school comes back in July.

Students have been enjoying stories about the Yarra and Murray rivers and contributing to a school mural about creatures who live in and around rivers, which will be taken to the Kyabram Hospital to brighten up their corridors. For the last few weeks they have also been comparing books on similar topics. First they compared a dinosaur story with an information book about Australia’s dinosaurs then they compared two stories about Jacaranda trees. The wall of purple (paper) Jacaranda flowers, each with a wish written on it, was beautiful.
